One of the best places to visit in 2023

Don’t worry – you are not the only one wondering where to go to in 2023. We are here to help you out. So let’s take a look at this year’s Top Places to visit in 2023 by National Geographic Travel, Condé Nast Traveler and AFAR media.
The Alps in Austria: Natural Spectacle of Beauty
National Geographic Travel included the Austrian Alps in their list of Best of the World 2023 – with a special focus on the Bergsteigerdörfer (or Mountaineering Villages).
Spread across the Alpine regions, they keep quiet and hidden: far from noise and hustle and bustle, time seems to have stood still in the mountaineering villages. And this is intentional: the beauty here lies in tradition, in originality and in culture. The alpine flair and the typical mountain and village world have been preserved.
And yet there is no need to forego amenities and comfort. After all, enjoyment and culture are particularly appreciated in the mountain villages. And whether guests devote themselves mainly to a good book in the mountains or prefer climbing, hiking or mountain biking – that is up to each nature lover to decide.
Vienna – the City of Imperial Traditions
The capital of Austria made it on the list of The 23 Best Places to Go in 2023 by Condé Nast Traveler.
Austria’s capital offers a blend of imperial traditions, music, and endearing charm. A city that inspires with the old and the new alike, and always has a cosy place available in a coffee house or wine tavern.
In 2023 Vienna is celebrating the 150th anniversary of Vienna’s World’s Fair as well as the 300th anniversary of the opening of the Belvedere, a baroque palace that’s also a huge art museum, home of Gustav Klimt’s iconic “The Kiss” painting and the world’s largest collection of works by that exceptional artist.
Graz – the Culinary Capital of Austria
The city of Graz was awarded one of The Best Places to Travel in 2023 by AFAR Media and we could not agree more.
Graz is Austria’s second largest city – and one of its hidden secrets. This historic city in the southern region of Styria has plenty to flaunt, especially for those foodies, history buffs, and nature lovers.
Here, culture, culinary delights and trendy design take centre stage on both sides of the River Mur. A relaxed city with a Mediterranean vibe, and a cultural and culinary hot spot.
Austria is everything we love about Europe in one place.
